KNIHA CISLO 2:STRUCNE
O PRÍBEHU
Na príchod Harryho Pottera a Tajomnej komnaty sa tešili milióny detí ale aj dospelých a autorka opäť nesklamala. Kniha opäť posunula Rowlingovú o trochu vyššie. Odohráva sa v nej príbeh nášho mladého učňa Harryho a jeho priateľov i nepriateľov na škole.
V tomto dieli sa na škole stávali podivuhodné vraždy, alebo lepšie povedané, skamenenia. Samozrejme, žiadna z obetí nemohla podať žiadne vysvetlenie o svojom stave. Takto postihnutí žiaci a mačka si museli počkať na svoje vyslobodenie až do konca roka, keď ich oživil elixír z mandragory. No ako podozrivý sa hneď stal Harry Potter, najmä po incidente v klube duelantov, kde sa pred všetkými “zhováral“ s hadom. Všetci si mysleli, že ho chce poslať na istého žiaka, Justina, a pretože nikto iný neovláda hadiu reč – parselčinu, všetci sa mu začali vyhýbať.
Samozrejme, Harry bol opäť stredobodom pozornosti, aj keď v tomto prípade to bolo po tej horšej stránke. Všade, kam sa pohol, si o ňom šepkali zlé veci, a prirodzene nikde nechýbal ani Harryho najväčší protivník Draco Malfoy. Tento uštipačný chlapec bol rovnako starý ako Harry, no rovnakú fakultu nenavštevovali. Zatiaľčo Harry si užíval krásne dni v Chrabromile, Draco so svojimi druhmi Crabbom a Goylom vymýšľali podrazy na Harryho v Slizolinskej klubovni. Harry s Ronom a Hermionou však ako vraha nevinných obetí tipovali práve Draca Malfoya. Jednak on stále vyhlasoval, že neznáša humusákov a že tí pôjdu ako prví, a potom, nesmierne sa im do tejto role hodil. No ako aj posledne, znova bola táto trojica na nesprávnej stope, ale pomocou Všehodžúsu sa premenili na Crabba a Goyla a vyspovedali Draca. Potom konečne zistili, že majú nesprávneho človeka.
Záhada tajomnej Komnaty, do ktorej má vraj prístup len Slizolinov potomok, sa vyriešila vďaka Herioninej šikovnej hlavičke. No skôr, ako stihla niekomu niečo povedať, skamenela aj ona. Našťastie si Harry všimol ústrižok z knihy v jej ruke. Pomocou neho našiel vchod do Tajomnej komnaty a síce nebol priamym potomkom Slizolina, dostal sa tam spolu s Ronom a samoľúbym učiteľom Obrany proti čiernej mágii. Mohol sa tam dostať len pomocou parselčiny, ktorou otvoril tajný vchod. Na konci cesty sa od svojich pomocníkov musel oddeliť a sám ísť zachrániť obeť Tajomnej komnaty – Ronovu mladšiu sestru Ginny. Kvôli nej ho vlastne táto záhada nenechala spávať.
S pomocou riaditeľovho fénixa a rokfortského klobúku sa mu podarilo zabiť oživenú spomienku tela Lorda Voldemorta, ktorá povstala z denníka a zabil aj toho obávaného vraha – baziliska. Bol to taký zelený dlhý had s ostňami. Svojimi zubami poranil aj Harryho, ktorý mal aj zomrieť, no to sa však nesmelo stať, takže ho svojimi slzami opäť zachránil fénix. Harry svojou odvahou a šľachetnosťou získal body pre svoju fakultu a opäť pomohol vyhrať školský pohár.
